DevExpress, a leading global software development company, today announced an update to the award-winning line of controls for VCL: VCL v2011 vol 2.2. Now, with support for Embarcadero Delphi XE2 (including 64-bit) and C++Builder XE2 built into all of their components, developers can quickly migrate their applications to support the latest Embarcadero IDEs. Developers using the latest VCL controls from DevExpress, together with the Delphi component-based visual development and a fully visual two-way RAD IDE, will take advantage of the latest hardware, access more memory, and push the envelope of performance.

"We're excited to celebrate the release of our next generation of VCL controls with developers around the world today as we continue to demonstrate our commitment to this important platform," said Dave Mendlen, Chief Marketing Officer at DevExpress. "With Delphi XE2 and our VCL components now supporting 64-bit, any memory limitations developers may have had with large data mining and financial analysis applications are now gone," said Julian M Bucknall, CTO for DevExpress. "Now the only limitation is physical RAM."
